Kaitlin Kiyan, a 17-year-old Waipahu native, is a member of the tribe in a special 40th-anniversary production of the love-rock musical, "Hair," being staged tomorrow night through Monday at the Delacorte Theatre in New York's Central Park.

Kaitlin, now attending the LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts — the noted "Fame" school, epitomized in film, on TV, and in music — is a previous Pookela Award nominee for her 2002 role as "Oliver," in which she played against gender at Army Community Theatre.

The limited-run musical stars Jonathan Groff of the Tony Award-winning "Spring Awakening" cast, as Claude, and Will Swenson, of "110 in the Shade" and "Le Stat," as Berger, in the Public Theatre production, directed by Diane Paulus. "Hair" alumni from the "Age of Aquarius" over the past four decades will let the sunshine in for the final each night.
