Preps: Two volleyball teams earn first victory

The Christian Academy and Maui girls volleyball teams earned their first victories of the season yesterday in matches against winless squads.Christian Academy defeated Lanakila Baptist 25-23, 25-20 in an Interscholastic League of Honolulu match at Mid-Pacific gym. The Patriots improve to 1-8 while the Warriors are 0-9.
At Kahului, host Maui defeated Ka'ahumanu Hou 25-12, 25-13, 25-18 in a Maui Interscholastic League match. The Sabers are 1-5 while the Ali'i Lions are 0-5.
