Driver dead in Big Island crash

The driver of a vehicle that crashed last night in the Pahoa District of the Big Island was found dead at the scene by Big Island firefighters.The crash was reported at 9:05 p.m. Firefighters found the vehicle on the rocky shoreline at the base of a sea cliff at Honolulu Landing.
The lone occupant was dead at the scene, firefighters said.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
