Fujikawa finishes 1-under; misses cut by three strokes

BOISE, Idaho — Tadd Fujikawa shot a even-par 71 today but missed the cut by three strokes at the PGA's Albertsons Boise Open.

The 16-year-old Moanalua High School junior, who had an ace en route to a 1-under 70 yesterday, finished at 141 for two rounds. The cut was 138.

This was Fujikawa's fourth tournament as a professional. He has yet to make the cut as a pro.

He opened today's round with seven consecutive pars, including two on the par-5 holes and one on the par-3 hole.

He bogeyed the eighth hole but birdied the ninth. He parred the next two holes but bogeyed the 12th. He parred the 13th and bogeyed the 14th to drop to 2-over. He parred the 15th and 16th holes, but birdied the 17th and 18th.

Jim McGovern leads the field after shooting a 65 today. He is at 14-under 128.
