KUB’NEK'S ONE-MAN SHOW

He's billed as a certified lunatic and master of the impossible. He's Tomás Kub’nek, the virtuoso vaudevillian whose one-man shows have drawn sold-out houses and raves. He comes to Hawai'i for two shows:

  • 7:30 p.m. Oct. 5 at Paliku Theatre, Windward Community College

  • 7 p.m. Oct. 7 at the Kaua'i Community College Performing Arts Center

    THE VINTAGE ADVANTAGE

    Attention, lovers of stuff: The Fall Wiki Wiki One Day Vintage Collectibles and Hawaiiana Show is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Oct. 7 at the Blaisdell Center's Hawai'i Suites. Admission is $3.50 general, $2 kids 7-11; if you're really eager, it's $15 for early entry at 9 a.m.

    What to expect at the expo? Items that are at least 20 years old; dealers from the Mainland, Neighbor Islands and O'ahu; all manner of things including aloha shirts, estate jewelry, glassware, Hawaiiana, dolls, purses, surf items, 'ukulele, lots more.
