A Honolulu man arrested at Hilo Airport yesterday has been charged with Wednesday's robbery of a Macy's department store at Prince Kuhio Plaza.

Jeremyal Bronson Leedy, 23, was charged with robbery and was being held in lieu of $50,000 bail pending his initial appearance tomorrow at Hilo District Court.

Leedy has six prior convictions, according to Hawai'i Criminal Justice Data Center records.

He is accused of stealing a watch after making a reference to shooting a Macy's employee, although a weapon was not seen, police said.

Leedy was arrested at 10 a.m. yesterday at the airport before he could board a flight to O'ahu.

FIVE WORKERS HURT AT MILILANI TECH PARK

Five construction workers were treated for injuries and one was taken to Wahiawa General Hospital yesterday following a structure collapse at Mililani Technology Park.

The workers, all men, had been constructing the steel framing on a new self-storage facility being built at the campuslike park. Witnesses said the second-floor steel framing collapse appeared to have been caused by a strong gust of wind.

Honolulu Fire Department personnel, who got the call shortly after 10 a.m., used a forklift to remove one worker from the building's second floor, said fire Capt. Terry Seelig.

"We treated him and packaged him on a backboard, and he was removed with the help of a forklift down to the ground," Seelig said.

The worker was stable when he was taken to the hospital, according to Honolulu Emergency Services spokesman Bryan Cheplic.

The other four workers were treated for minor injuries at the scene, officials said. None of the workers, including the hospitalized man, had been trapped by the collapse, Seelig said.

The hemorrhaging is in an area between the infant's brain and the brain's outer lining.

As of yesterday, no arrests had been made.

Surfers spotted her body floating about 100 yards offshore at 8:30 a.m. and brought it to shore.
