Advertiser Staff

Yacine Meyer had 17 kills and 29 digs to lead the eighth-ranked Seabury Hall girls volleyball team past Moloka'i in a key Maui Interscholastic League Division II meeting between undefeated teams.

The host Spartans defeated the Farmers, 25-20, 25-18, 23-25, 25-20, at Erdman Athletic Center in Olinda, Maui.

Seabury Hall improves to 6-0. Moloka'i falls to 6-1.

"I was more after the girls to earn points than win them," Seabury Hall coach Scottie Zucco said. "We're trying to develop a certain workmanship in each game and doing our best to earn points than win them."

Kaimi Rocha had 30 digs and six kills for Seabury Hall and teammate Keana Cramer had 24 assists and eight digs.

"The match was fantastic," Zucco said. "Both sides were playing their hearts out, which is really good to see the MIL field (strong) teams."
