Preps: Undefeated No. 7 KS-Hawaii, Waiakea fall

The last two undefeated teams in the Big Island Interscholastic Federation were swept last night in league play.

At Hilo Armory, Hilo upset seventh-ranked Kamehameha-Hawai'i 25-19, 25-10, 25-21 behind 11 kills from Heather Kaikuana. It was the Warriors' first BIIF loss in nearly three seasons.

The Vikings, which compete in Division II, improve to 6-1. The Warriors, which compete in Division I, fall to 4-1.

Hawai'i Prep defeated host Waiakea 25-23, 25-17, 27-25 behind Erika Cushnie's 10 kills. Ka Makani, which compete in Division II, improve to 3-1. The Warriors, which compete in Division I, fall to 5-1 and were led by Chelsey Buyuan's 14 kills.
