Drier air expected to move in over the next few days

An area of high pressure far to the north of the state will gradually weaken over the weekend and the locally breezy trade winds will ease slightly, according to the National Weather Service.

A drier and more stable air mass will move over the islands this weekend, forecasters said, resulting in fewer clouds over windward areas.

Most leeward areas should be rain free.

Here's what to expect during the next few days:

Today, sunny. Isolated showers in the morning. Highs 81 to 88. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Tonight, mostly clear. Lows 65 to 75. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph.

Sunday, sunny. Highs 80 to 87. East winds 10 to 15 mph.

Sunday night, mostly clear with isolated showers. Lows 66 to 76. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Monday, sunny with isolated showers. Highs 81 to 88. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Monday night, mostly clear with isolated showers. Lows 68 to 76. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.
