Advertiser Staff

Honolulu police are investigating a motorcycle fatality that has closed two major freeway access ramps near Aloha Stadium.

Police say a 53-year old man on a motorcycle died shortly before 9 p.m.

The man was riding on the H-1 Freeway westbound when he hit a guardrail and was thrown from his motorcycle.

The freeway on-ramp from the Aloha Stadium parking lot was closed, as was the Moanalua Freeway eastbound extension from the H-1 Freeway.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene, according to an Emergency Medical Services spokesman.
