Halawa man charged with damaging car, injuring infant

A Halawa man was charged today for allegedly striking a vehicle with a golf club that caused minor injuries to a 1-year-old boy.Sheldon K. Medeiros, 23, is being held in lieu of $25,000 bail for first-degree criminal property damage pending his initial appearance tomorrow at District Court.
Police said Medeiros and his former girlfriend, 36, were arguing Thursday in 'Aiea when he allegedly shattered windows of the woman's car with a golf club at about 3:15 p.m.
The woman was seated in the vehicle with the infant, who suffered face injuries.
Medeiros fled before police arrived. He was located and arrested at 5:55 p.m. Friday at Ala Moana Center.
