Honolulu police have opened a second-degree murder case in the death of a 49-year-old woman earlier this month.

Initially, the case was classified as an unattended death. On Friday, however, police reclassified it as a second-degree murder. The woman's husband was arrested Friday and released pending further investigation, police said.
