Wrath of Grapes showcases rare varietals tomorrow

Advertiser Staff

Indigo Eurasian Bistro's weekly Wrath of Grapes wine tasting event will feature some of the more unusual wines available at local restaurants. Try grapes such as Hárslevelu, Gruner Veltliner and Pinotage — and get schooled on the obscure varietals by sommelier Cass and wine steward Dusty Grable.

The prelude to the sips will be a short beer tasting hosted by Lili Hess from the Boston Beer Company (Samuel Adams). She will pour beers from Samuel Adams that are currently unavailable in Hawai'i (Irish Red Ale, Dunkleweisen), and tasters' votes will help the company decide which beer to "import."

And, of course, the tasting includes light pupu by chef Glen Chu. Reservations are required.

Cost: $20 per person, not including tax and tip.

When: 6 p.m. tomorrow.

To book a spot, call 521-2900.
