Motorcyclist killed at Aloha Stadium exit identified

Advertiser Staff

The motorcyclist killed Saturday night while leaving Aloha Stadium was identified today by the medical examiner's office as Rick Harris, 53, of Wai'anae.

An autopsy today determined cause and manner of death as cranial cerebral injuries due to a motorcycle accident.

Police vehicular homicide investigator Sgt. Lorenzo Ridella said the motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet.

Harris headed up a ramp that connects the stadium with the eastbound lanes of the Moanalua Freeway when the brakes of his white 2005 Yamaha locked, sending him into a guardrail.

Harris was ejected from the motorcycle and landed on a dirt area below the ramp. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 9:22 p.m.
