LEEWARD COMMUNITY COLLEGE

Don Maruyama, most recently corporate chef for the DK Restaurant Group — which includes Sansei, dk Steakhouse and Vino restaurants — has been named chef instructor of the Culinary Arts Program at Leeward Community College. His former restaurant and hotel experience has also included Roy's restaurant, Waikiki Parc Hotel and Indigo and Cascada restaurants.

CASTLE & COOKE HOMES HAWAI'I

Castle & Cooke has hired Kevin Perry as project engineer for the Big Island's Wehilani at Waikoloa, one of the newest residential communities for Castle & Cooke Hawai'i Inc. He is experienced in construction and development, project management and construction services.

COLLIERS MONROE FRIEDLANDER

JOY S. FUNAKOSHI, most recently senior manager at Deloitte & Touche in Hawai'i and a former assistant controller and director for C. Brewer & Co., has been named controller of Colliers Monroe Friedlander. The 20-year accounting veteran is responsible for oversight of fiscal real estate services for a diverse portfolio of Hawai'i commercial properties, with institutional to local private owners. Colliers Monroe Friedlander, an affiliate of Colliers International, is Hawai'i's largest commercial and industrial property management and brokerage firm, with a portfolio of more than 4 million square feet of managed commercial real estate.
