LAHAINA
Harbor gets new restrooms

Advertiser Staff

A new 1,200-square-foot restroom building at the Lahaina Small Boat Harbor is open after a yearlong construction project.

The old 375-square-foot structure was demolished and replaced with a modern, accessible facility with five sinks and 12 toilets for women, and four sinks, two urinals and four toilets for men.

In keeping with Lahaina's historic character, Mitsunaga and Associates designed the facility to resemble a plantation house, with green wooden siding and red corrugated metal roofing. Maui Master Builders was the contractor for the $1.3 million project, which received federal and state funding.
