Two Kahuku High and Intermediate teachers have earned Good Idea Grant awards for projects that will help students learn and adjust to high school.

The Public Schools of Hawai'i Foundation award for project proposals went to Annie Gardenkrans, $2,941, and Karin Hansen del Ray, $2,777, said Lisa DeLong, school principal.

Gardenkrans' project involves the development of a game with a social studies theme.

Students' of Hansen del Ray, a language arts teacher, planned and wrote a proposal that provides a book and activities that will support seventh-graders as they transition to the school's campus.
