Tesoro shares climb after news of S&P 500 inclusion

Shares of Tesoro Corp., the Texas company that owns the Hawai'i oil refinery, jumped $1.37 to $51.01 a day after the company was named to the \ the Standard & Poor's 500 Index.The company's shares will be included in the much-watched index beginning tomorrow. Tesoro is replacing Maxim Integrated Products Inc., which is being delisted from the Nasdaq stock market.
Another companies joining the index is Expedia Inc., the online travel agency that also owns Classic Vacations, a wholesaler of travel packages to Hawai'i and other destinations.
