Buddhist groups plan thanksgiving/gratitude seminar

Haleiwa Shingon Mission and Koyasan Head Temple/Sanyokai will hold the free, 12th annual Thanksgiving & Gratitude Seminar 9 a.m. to noon Sunday.

The event takes place at the Haleiwa Shingon Mission, 66-469 Pa'ala'a Road; and topics include "Young People and Religion in Contemporary Japan" by Jolyon Baraka Thomas; "New Faces in Japanese Buddhism" by Matthew McMullen; and "Rev. Ernest Shinkaku Hunt and The International Buddhist Institute" by George Tanabe. Lunch will follow.
