Associated Press

HAGATNA, Guam — The U.S. Navy on Guam is investigating the crash of a helicopter that killed one crew member and injured three others.

The Monday night crash of the MH-60S Knighthawk helicopter crash at Fena Reservoir on Navy property in Santa Rita is classified as a safety mishap. Navy spokesman Lt. Donnell Evans said the helicopter was on a training mission.

Names of the crew members have not yet been released and the helicopter remains in the reservoir.

The aircraft was part of the Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron 25 that has been conducting rescue missions in the U.S. territories of Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands.

One of the surviving crew members had a broken arm, and the other two were treated for minor injuries.
