Women leaders seek to inspire at Honolulu conference

Advertiser Staff

Top women leaders in business, finance, health, science, aerospace and technology are gathering in Honolulu today to share their personal and professional stories of success at the 4th annual International Women's Leadership Conference, Inspiring Today, for Tomorrow, at the Sheraton Waikiki Hotel and Resort.

The conference will feature celebrated women leaders from Indonesia, Afghanistan and the United States who are unparalleled in their achievements. More than 800 individuals are registered to attend the one-day conference to hear speakers' stories of success and gain insight as promising future leaders.

Among the attendees will be inmates from the Women's Community Correctional Center who are working to rehabilitate their lives and preparing to re-enter the community. Also in attendance will be female youths from the Hawai'i Youth Correctional Center, who are also on the path to turning their lives around. In addition, women who currently reside at the state's Onelau'ena, Pai'olu and Kaiaulu emergency homeless shelters or have benefited from their services will be in the audience to hear words of encouragement and inspiration from other women.
