LAHAINA
High school to receive $58,000

Advertiser Staff

Lahainaluna High School today is to receive a $58,000 donation from Westin Ka'anapali Ocean Resort Villas and Starwood Vacation Ownership.

The money will be used to upgrade the school's performing arts facilities and repair the library. The work includes renovation of the outdoor stage at Boarders' Field, which is used for graduation ceremonies and Lahainaluna's annual David Malo Day cultural celebration.

The renovations are the first step in the school's master plan to offer a cultural and performing arts center focused on perpetuating Hawaiian history and culture.
