Friends of Library bookmobile starts Saturday hours

Advertiser Staff

The Friends of the Library of Hawaii's Bill's Bookmobile will be open 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and will continue to open on the first Saturday of the month thereafter.

The bookmobile, parked at the Friends' headquarters at 690 Pohukaina St. in Kaka'ako, is open weekdays but there have been many requests for Saturday hours, according to Byrde Cestare, executive director of the Friends.

The September special will be music; there is a large inventory of new CDs at $3 and vinyl records at $2.

All proceeds benefit Hawai'i's 51 public libraries.
