The new Waikiki free concert series at Beach Walk will host renowned island singer Auntie Genoa Keawe from 4 to 5:30 p.m. on Saturday .

Outrigger's Na Mele No Na Pua concerts are held monthly on the last Saturday of each month, on the Grand Lanai of the Embassy Suites-Waikiki Beach Walk hotel.

Each concert is free and open to the public as seating allows. Elevator access to the Grand Lanai is located on Lewers Street ground level and valet parking is $6 for up to four hours at the Embassy Suites-Waikiki Beach Walk (201 Beachwalk) and the Wyndham Vacation Ownership-Waikiki Beach Walk (227 Lewers St.), with any same-day purchase from any Waikiki Beach Walk merchant.

TV and radio personality Brickwood Galluteria hosts the monthly concerts for Outrigger Enterprise Group with radio partner and local entertainer Kimo Kahoano.

"Auntie Genoa is a true legend in Hawaiian music," Galuteria said. "She is such an inspiration to all of us who have grown up listening to her, learning from her, and aspiring to be even half the person that she is."

At 88, she has recorded more than 20 albums and 150 singles. She began playing in Waikiki in the 1950s and is still going strong nearly 60 years later and is best known for her falsetto style of singing and her trademark ability to hold high notes.
