Roadwork will close 3 lanes of H-1 on Sunday

Advertiser Staff

The state Department of Transportation will close the three rightmost westbound lanes of the H-1 Freeway Airport Viaduct from the Keehi Interchange to the Kamehameha Highway/Aloha Stadium/Arizona Memorial off-ramp (Exit 15A West) on Sunday from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. for pavement repair work.

The roadwork is part of a $9.1 million project to fix potholes along a nearly three-mile stretch of the airport viaduct between Middle and Valkenburgh streets.

The speed limit near the repair area will be reduced to 15 mph to minimize vibrations while fast-forming concrete used to fill in potholes cures.
