Wahiawa soldier to be interred today at Punchbowl

Flags will be flying at half-staff today from sunrise to sunset in honor of Army Sgt. Alexander U. Gagalac of Wahiawa.

U.S. and Hawai'i state flags at state, county and federal buildings throughout Hawai'i will be flying at half-staff today from sunrise to sunset in honor of Army Sgt. Alexander U. Gagalac of Wahiawa, who was killed in Hawijah, Iraq, on Sept. 9.

Gagalac will be interred at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific at Punchbowl today.

He was assigned to D Company, 2nd Battalion, 27th Infantry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division at Schofield Barracks.
