Repairs to fallen pole in Pearl City to take most of day

A downed utility pole on Ho'omalu Street has traffic being redirected from Moanalua to Pu'u Ulaula Street in Pearl City this morning and 12 Hawaiian Electric Co. customers without power until just before noon.The downed pole was reported shortly after 4 a.m. A HECO trouble-shooting team is working to restore power and repair the pole, said Darren Pai, a HECO spokesman. Repairs are expected to take most of the day, Pai said.
He said the pole was hit by a car.
