Cinema Italiano kicks off today

The 4th annual Cinema Italiano Film Festival opens today and runs through Sunday with a series of new and classic Italian films at the Doris Duke Theatre at the Honolulu Academy of Arts.

The University of Hawaii's Academy of Creative Media will be honored at the festival with the establishment of a new and special "Future Filmmaker Award" fund.

The schedule includes:

Today, 8 p.m. – NUOVOMONDO (New World)
