Paint over graffiti Saturday in McCully/Mo'ili'ili

Advertiser Staff

Concerned citizens will be painting over graffiti, removing stickers and picking up trash in the McCully and Mo'ili'ili areas from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday.

Volunteers are asked to meet at 8 a.m. at Kuhio Elementary School to pick up supplies.

This clean-up — the third this year — will be dedicated to the late Richard Loyd, a longtime volunteer with the Sheridan Street Citizens Patrol who provided painting and cleaning supplies.

"He was a great guy and will be missed," said Joel Elies, clean-up chair.

The event is organized by the T.A.G. Team, Old Town Mo'ili'ili Business Association and the University of Hawai'i-Manoa.
