UH-Manoa's Hamilton Library starts 24-hour service

Advertiser Staff

In response to student requests, the University of Hawai'i-Manoa's Hamilton Library started 24-hour, Monday through Friday service this week for UH students, faculty and staff.

Patrons entering the building after 11 p.m. must show a valid UH ID card to security guards. Patrons without a valid UH ID will be asked to leave the building from 11 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.

The service was approved by the Legislature for the 2006-07 school year in response to requests from the library, the Associated Students of the University of Hawaii, and the Manoa Chancellor's office.

Extended hours started last year at Sinclair Library.

Hamilton Library is now open from noon Sunday until 7 p.m. Friday, and Saturdays 9 a.m. through 5 p.m. Complete hours for the other UH libraries are available at http://library.manoa.hawaii.edu.
