HA'ENA
State park will be renovated

Advertiser Staff

Construction is scheduled to begin next week at Kaua'i's Ha'ena State Park on a new comfort station and related improvements, including an accessible outdoor shower tree and new pathways.

The park, in the northwest region of Kaua'i at the end of Kuhio Highway, will remain open and portable toilets will be provided. During construction, there will not be a shower or changing facilities, and Ke'e Beach will only be accessible from the roadway, state officials said.

Contractor for the comfort station replacement project is Colin & Dillon Construction.

Work is expected to be completed by June 2008 at a cost of $432,000.
