Two BYUH tennis players advance to title match

Brigham Young-Hawaii tennis players Maggie Deng and Elwin Li won two matches today to advance to the women's final of the Wilston/ITA West Regional in Pomona, Calif.Deng beat Hawaii Pacific University's Nina Mihova, 6-2, 6-4, and another HPU player, Elena Hudzikova, 6-0, 6-1, in the semifinals. Li beat HPU's Ingrid Cseh, 6-1, 6-0, in the quarterfinals and Ivana Comsa, of Cal State L.A., 6-2, 6-1, in the semifinals.
In men's final, HPU's Hendrik Bode will face UC San Diego's Bijan Moallemi for the title tomorrow. Bode beat UC San Diego's Blake Meister, 6-2, 6-2, in the quarterfinals, and got by another UCSD foe, Eric Rubens, 6-4, 4-6, 6-4.
