No Hawaii tsunami threat from quake off Mariana Isles

An earthquake with a magnitude of 7.4 occurred off the Mariana Islands late Friday night, the Japan Meteorological Agency said.No tsunami warning was issued and no damage was reported.
The quake, which struck at 10:41 p.m., posed no tsunami threat to Hawai'i, the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said.
Slight shaking related to the quake was reported in northeastern towns on Japan's main island of Honshu.
