Deadline approaching for grief workshop

A "Holiday Grief Workshop" will be held 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 20 at Koolau Golf Club.
Since the holidays can be especially difficult for people grieving the loss of a loved one, the workshop will offer practical tips. Early registration deadline is Oct. 5.
The one-day workshop begins with an introduction by Felicia
Marquez-Wong, bereavement coordinator at St. Francis Hospice, and the Rev. J.P. Sabithi, chaplain at Kaiser Foundation Hospital. Topics include "Healing Breath in Life" by Kauila Clark, a minister and certified traditional Hawaiian practitioner; and "Rhythm to Restore the Soul" by Michael Wall, Playful Percussion Facilitator.
Cost: $50 ($60 after Oct. 5), includes lunch, refreshments and course materials.
