Flu shots offered at Longs in Kaneohe today

Flu shots will be administered from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. today at Longs Drugs in Kaneohe Bay Shopping Center.

The shots are free for HMSA, HMSA's 65C Plus and HMSA QUEST members, and Medicare Part B beneficiaries; a co-payment may be required for other plans. Otherwise, cost is $35.

Flu shots are recommended for those older than 50; anyone with health conditions such as asthma, heart disease, lung disease and diabetes, or those who care for people with health conditions.

Other flu shot clinics will be offered islandwide through Nov. 6.
