Trade wind weather to stick around another week

A high-pressure area north of the Islands will keep trade wind weather in place across the state through the next seven days, according to the National Weather Service.

Clouds and showers will favor windward and mauka areas, forecasters said.

Trade winds will increase slightly across exposed areas by the middle of the new week as the high pressure area consolidates and strengthens.

Today, mostly sunny with isolated showers. Highs 81 to 88. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Tonight, mostly clear with isolated showers. Lows 67 to 76. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Sunday, mostly sunny with isolated showers. Highs 81 to 88. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Sunday night, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Lows 67 to 76. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Monday, mostly sunny with isolated showers. Highs 81 to 88. East winds 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.
