Special day for grandparents and kids at Discovery Center

Advertiser Staff

A tribute to the older generation is happening tomorrow at the Hawaii Children's Discovery Center in Kaka'ako. It's the sixth annual Grandparents Day celebration, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with the goal of honoring Island grandparents and all they do for the little ones.

Grandparents and their grandkids can tour the galleries, create a memory book and make healthy snacks together, while supplies last.

Admission is free for each grandparent when accompanied by the $6.75 paid admission of a grandchild.

The center is at 111 'Ohe St. Regular hours are from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesdays to Fridays; 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekends. www.discoverycenterhawaii.org.
