Pair charged with Hawaii Kai burglary, robbery

Advertiser Staff

Two men were charged Friday by prosecutors with allegedly forcing their way into a Hawai'i Kai home in June and robbing a resident.

Kaimipono H.V. Marciel, 24, of Hawai'i Kai and Ramzey O. Scanlan, 21, of Kailua are both accused of first-degree burglary and first-degree robbery.

They were released Friday after each posted $30,000 bail. Both men have appearances scheduled Oct. 19 at District Court, police said.

The two men armed with weapons allegedly forced their way into a Hawai'i Kai home at 7:30 p.m. on June 3, threatened harm to a 20-year-old male resident and ordered him to show them the location of a safe in the house, according to police.
