UH PRO DAY

WHAT: University of Hawaii Pro Day

WHERE: Home Depot Center, Carson, Calif.

WHEN: Today

WHAT IS IT? Audition for pro football scouts in which prospects are measured and tested in strength and agility drills.

BACKGROUND: Although the NFL invites more than 300 prospects to participate in the NFL Combine in February, most Division I schools hold additional tryouts, called Pro Days, which are usually held at a school sites or a location at which players are familiar or comfortable. The event showcases the school’s additional professional prospects as well as allows combine invitees to show improvement in their 40-yard dashes, bench presses and other testing. Last Wednesday, for instance, more than 100 NFL personnel attended the Pro Day for NCAA champion LSU.

In all, 19 former Warriors were in attendance.

At the NFL Combine in February, Brennan displayed pin-point accuracy during drills in Indianapolis. But he did not run a 40-yard dash or perform the bench press there.

Brennan, who holds the NCAA record for touchdown passes in a career, took part again in passing drills but didn't run because of a hip injury that will require surgery.
