Aloha takes action to protect cargo operation

Advertiser Staff

Aloha Airlines, which has ceased its passenger operations, said today that its pilots union threatened to "disrupt or stop its cargo operations."

Lawyers for Aloha today went to federal bankcuptcy court seeking to prohibit pilots from taking action to disrupt the cargo division.

An attorney for the Airline Pilots Association denied that the pilots plan such an action.

Aloha is attempting to sell its profitable cargo division, which is still operating.

Aloha's lender said this morning that it is not in a position to provide financing for the cargo division given the uncertainty.
