Water shutdown will affect some Kauai residents

Advertiser Staff

Water service in east Kilauea area up to Waipake on Kaua'i will be interrupted for six hours next week to allow for the installation of a temporary bypass waterline as part of the Kilauea bridge replacement project.

Work will begin at 10 p.m. Tuesday and is expected to be completed by 4 a.m. Wednesday.

Residents affected by the water outage are encouraged to prepare by storing the water they need for this six-hour period.

For more information, call Department of Water on Kaua'i at 245-5455 between 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
