Surf of 3-5 feet expected along east-facing shores today

Advertiser Staff

Surf along north-facing shores of Oahu is on the way down and is expected to level out at 2 to 4 feet today, the National Weather Service said.

Elsewhere, look for wave faces of 3 to 5 feet along east-facing shores, 2-4 feet along south-facing shores and 1-3 feet along west-facing shores today.

Small northwest swells are expected through Friday. A larger northwest swell is expected to bring near advisory level surf on Saturday for north- and west-facing shores.

Moderate to fresh trade winds will maintain moderate sized surf along east-facing shores. A north-northeast swell is expected Friday, raising the possibility of advisory level surf for east-facing shores Friday and Saturday.

A small south swell is expected to continue through Wednesday.
