Man charged with Waipahu machete threat

A 43-year-old man with 27 criminal convictions was accused today of threatening three women with a machete early yesterday morning in Waipahu.

Robert Silva, who has no permanent local address, was charged with three counts of first-degree terroristic threatening, His bail is $20,000 pending an initial appearance tomorrow at District Court,

None of the three women, ages 45, 37 and 48, were injured.
