WAI'ANAE
Volunteer to help keep Oahu beautiful April 26

Nani 'O Wai'anae, an all volunteer group, is appealing for site organizers and volunteers on O'ahu to assist in the Keep Hawai'i Beautiful Day cleanup campaign on April 26.

The effort is part of Keep America Beautiful's Great American Cleanup, billed as the nation's largest community improvement program, which takes place annually from March 1 through May 31.

"We need volunteer groups and individuals, and we especially need more sites around the island where volunteers can go to pick up bags, gloves and other supplies," said Katy Kok, executive director of the Keep America Beautiful affiliate in Wai'anae.

"We want to do our part on O'ahu."

Individuals and groups interested can call 484-1000 or 696-1920 for more information on the O'ahu cleanup, or visit www.kab.org for details about the national effort.
