Hapa to give April 19 concert on Maui

Hapa, a popular contemporary Hawaiian duo comprised of Barry Flanagan and Nathan Aweau, will perform at 7:30 p.m. April 19 at Castle Theater of the Maui Arts & Cultural Center as part of the ongoing Ho'onanea Series.

Chanter Charles Ka'upu also will be featured.

Hapa's musical strokes tap folk, acoustic and rock elements, fused with Polynesian, Portuguese and Spanish inspirations. The amalgam is explored vocally and instrumentally.
