GROUP 70

Group 70 International Inc. has promoted five of its team members to the associate level: J. Blaise Caldeira, Kirstin Hochart, Enid Honda, David Miyasaki, and Rachel Shaak.

Group 70 International specializes in sustainable development, architecture, planning and environmental services, interior design and assets management.

IBM

IBM has promoted Jason Phillips to senior account executive for general business in Hawai'i and Guam. He will be responsible for sales and marketing for commercial accounts focusing on travel, transportation and distribution.

HAWAII MEDICAL CENTER

Hawaii Medical Center has named Dr. James Lumeng as chief medical officer of Hawaii Medical Center East. Lumeng previously has served as president of St. Francis Medical Center Staff and subsequently medical director at St. Francis Medical Center of Honolulu.

KAPALUA RESORT

Kapalua Resort has promoted Juan Gutierrez from senior golf course superintendent to director of agronomy. In his new position, Gutierrez will be responsible for overseeing the management, maintenance, renovation and quality of play on Kapalua Resort's golf courses.

HAWAI'I PACIFIC UNIVERSITY

Charles Sasaki has been promoted to associate vice president of student affairs at Hawai'i Pacific University. He will be in charge of the undergraduate academic advising centers on the Downtown and Windward campuses, career services center, and counseling and behavioral health services for special student populations. Sasaki was previously dean of advising and counseling, associate dean of students and assistant professor of history at Chaminade University.

Also, Marites Fiesta has been promoted to dean of students. She will lead and manage the department's initiatives and services and serve as a student advocate, handle aspects of student discipline, oversee student life policies and procedures, support curricular and co-curricular programs, and assist with divisionwide efforts.
