FAMILY FUN APRIL 26

Dole Plantation hosts its annual Family Fun Day, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 26, featuring music, dance, arts and crafts workshops, games for the kids, prizes, a Pineapple Trivia Challenge, food and more.

The plantation's Pineapple Pete costumed character will be there, as will Richard Dole, grandson of the plantation's founder, at a book-signing for his "The Story of James Dole," about his grandfather.

Admission is free; proceeds will go to nearby schools. 621-8408.

Dole Plantation is at 64-1550 Kamehameha Highway.

KEIKI FUN APRIL 27

The Japanese Cultural Center's Kodomo no Hi: Keiki Fun Fest, set for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., marks a modern Japanese holiday that combines the traditional Girls' Day (March 3) and Boys' Day (May 5).

The celebration will include games, kimono dressing (for a fee), make-and-take activities, entertainment and food.

The festivities will take place in the Teruya Courtyard and fifth floor of the center, 2454 S. Beretania St. Free. 945-7633.
