STANFORD, Calif. — The University of Hawaii women's track and field team posted two more NCAA Regional qualifying marks and one school record on the second day of the Stanford Invitational today at Cobb Track and Angel Field.

Over the two-day meet, four Rainbow Wahine made regional standard in their respective events.

Today, pole vaulter Jessica Custance became the first UH athlete to clear four meters with a jump of 13 feet, 1.5 inches (4.00m). It also bettered Patricia Gauthier's school-record 12-11.75 (3.96m) set in 2006.

Senior Meghan Weaver won the top section of the shot put with a personal best 51-7 (15.72m). In a field of Pac-10 and other top athletes, Weaver jumped ahead of the field on her sixth and final attempt.

Both Custance and Weaver already qualified for regionals in their events at the season-opening Hornet Invitational two weeks ago.

Freshman Renee Elbourne posted a new personal best in the triple jump with a mark of 37-3.75 (11.37m).

On Friday, two other Rainbow Wahine had regional qualifying marks. Samantha Weaver cleared 12-7.5 (3.85) in the pole vault and Emily Sheppard made standard in the high jump (5-8.75/1.75m).

The Rainbow Wahine return to Honolulu next week to host the fifth of six Sunset Meets at Cooke Field.
