Tartan plaids will be the look this weekend at the 27th Annual Hawaiian Scottish Festival and Highland Games in Kapi'olani Park.
In addition to highland games, bagpipes, dancing, various demonstrations (weaving, fencing, swordplay and more) and Scottish fare — yes, haggis — the event features a gathering of clans from around Hawai'i and the Mainland. Today is military appreciation day, tomorrow, tartan day; 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission is free. For more information: www.scotshawaii.org.
