    KEY HOUSE VOTES

    1. HIV/AIDS Reauthorization

    The House voted, 308-116, to reauthorize the global AIDS program, which was enacted in 2003. The bill would provide $50 billion from 2009 to 2013 to provide drugs and treatment for AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis abroad.

    KEY SENATE VOTES

    No major legislation passed in the Senate this week.

    WHAT'S AHEAD

    The Senate will continue debating a mortgage-foreclosure relief package that would overhaul the Federal Housing Administration. Next up is an omnibus package of about 60 bills to designate new land for parks, wilderness and national scenic areas. The House is expected to debate a bill to organize a federal land conservation system that oversees more than 26 million acres and a bill to reauthorize the BEACH Act of 2000 that requires the EPA to assist states in beach water testing.
